Week 12: The one where I watch conference as a missionary :))   The weather has been so nice and it is such a blessing, I also have my running watch and my mile or two I run a day is getting faster and faster on the sickkk BYU track we go to every morning. We met the Ockatsu family last Sunday, they are from Japan and came to America because they loved missionaries haha, they are not members but have a strong Christian faith and want their boys to go to be BYU and be like how the missionaries are so they sold EVERYTHING they had and moved to Utah, they are soooo so kind and today  (Wednesday) we went over with a member and taught the husband English, the wife goes to school to learn English and the boys just go to public school, it is amazing the support system they have from their local ward and from the Japanese family ward. They are the most giving and kind family ever and I love them! we are having Bible study with them on Sunday and I am so excited, I have learned a littl...

Week 11: The one where Cosmo talks to me   11 doesn't seem like a big number but it feels like it's been forever but at the same time like I left home like yesterday, time be waccckkyy on the mission. But BYU has been having lots of baseball games and the other day we ate our dinner while watching and then another day walked around and met people going to the game or leaving and while we were doing that COSMO the Cougar came up to us, took pics with us obviously, lots of fist bumps were exchanged and then before he scooted away said "keep up the best work you guys" BIGGGG FLEXXXX lol. It's also been sunny the last couple of days, right now I'm sitting on my couch and the sun is shining through the window onto me and I think I could just stay here forever, members are buying us food for lunch this afternoon from this healthy amazing food place that I've decided is even better than choices (another healthy food place) choices tofu is better tho. We had our f...

Week 9: The one where I stay Asian It's Sunday today and you know what that means... FASTINGGGG, I made it a goal to fast everyday of the mission and so far it's been honestly one of my favorite things. It is hard for me haha, and it stretches me and makes me really think about all I have to be thankful for which I have really needed on the mission so far. Being honest with you guys I find myself thinking a lot, that I wish I was in Australia already, that I wish I was with my family or friends, that I miss working out, that I wish ect. Typing this I kinda want to untype it now because it sounds so selfish and unthankful, but being real with you all... more times then I like to admit I am all of those things. It hasn't hit me in one big BANGGG that I have had this  bad mindset all at once but overtime and at the end of the day I think to myself  "Why am I so unhappy?" "Why can't I just be all in and all okay with it?" "I am focusing and living...

Week 6: The one where I cry because the clouds here are UNREAL I had my first baptism this week:)) His name is Shin and we are homiessss, he is so funny, has had like all the hairstyles a guy could have in life, so patient with me and my "Japanese" lol, has SICK style, so caring and loving to everyone and is such an example to me of faith. Every time he meets someone new at church they automatically love him, he has such a light and sweet spirit and has such a beautiful testimony of his Savior. It's a miracle he got baptized as fast as he did also because it usually takes Japanese people so long to be baptized because either their parents don't give permission or they grew up in a different belief but for him it was within not even a couple months. He's seriously the coolest and I'm so thankful for our friendship. Its been a good old time walking around BYU and UVU and talking to students, we meet SOOO many cool people and all the UVU people want me to come ...

Sorry I didn't write an email last week it's been something. which is good because it keeps me busy, which is good because than I don't think about how much I miss my family and friends haha.  So my mission president and his wife are from Australia and they are like the raddest people EVERRR, they have taught me a little Auzzie which is fun, basically I just have a little accent when I say awesome and a few other words. They say it's gonna be about six months before I go to Australia so UT will be my home for a Fat minute and I am honestly so pumped.  I am assigned to the ASIAN YSA and its is sooooooo legit. I love working with Asians my age they have a different type of humor which more than half the time I literally literally don't understand. (even if it issss in English) My mission president not gonna lie was shocked when he met me and I only spoke English and when t...
