Week 19: The One Where a Cow Sucks on my Hair "Are you from China? Because I'm chrina getcha number." Thought I would start with a pickup line I heard over the week. I love telling people I'm half Chinese they think it's so interesting. Okay that was way random but I've just had alot of people ask me what I am this week.  Let meeee just tell ya straight up never ever take your ankle and roll it, it's like pizza dough, there's just no point to rolling it because pizza isn't even that good. But thankfully the swelling has gone down by now there's just a bruise and I feel like a babbbyyyy but it hurts and I can only use it so much. I feel like it's God telling and showing me how I just need to be thankful for the 30 minutes I had to exercise was good enough.  What issssss good tho is funeral food, this old lady died and we helped with the funeral last minute, it was so nice working and getting to know all the relief society ladys the whole ti...

Week 18: The One Where NO MORE MASKS and I Roll My Ankle Really Bad! I really have come to learn that CHANGE is hard and can hurt but that it's SOO SOO good and it's just straight life lol. We are here to change. :))  I've learned this week that you gotta hold a chicken by holding its wings to its body (that sounds weird) so it doesn't jump at your face, don't play voleyball in tevas (yes I say it the correct way thank you) because when you go up to spike the yoga ball and come down you're gonna roll and tear a muscle in your ankle really bad, also don't full force the hit of a voleyball at an Elders eyeball because thats gonna not be fun for him whoops, OHHHH and also I love coloring and clouds just in case you were wondering. Oh and I'm a grandma and love writing emails so if you want an email, email me and request one!!  This week was so full of miricales!! -We had two new two date and the family is so centered on faith and just being good humans I lo...

Week 17: The One Where I Give My First Talk as a Missionary "Keep focusing on the good... you'll go so far!!" I have a wall of pictures and notes from my family and friends. One of my best friends wrote this on a sticky note and today I read it and it really stood out to me. I was born into a happy life, with the family i had, friends i was surrounded by, sports, growing up going to my brothers baseball games, running around all summer playing games with my friends, later on going to training and practice with the best teammates and coaches, coming home to a loving family, having alone time in my room to clean, listen to music, play my guitar, organize my clothes, lay on my roof. And legit tears come to my eyes when i see Christ at the center of it all, because he really is the reason for it all, and like my nana said "your faith is everything." It took faith for my parents to get married, to have kids, to go to school, to raise their kids, it took faith for t...

Week 16: The One Where... I Gotta Thank My Mom This week was pretty dang roller coasteryyyy, throw my mind for a spin, slap in the face, what the heck am I doing, oh wait it's not about me, let me eat my feelings, do push-ups randomly, why am I eating another roll, I could just sleep the day away, I COULD BE A MISSIONARY FOREVER, God needs me here right now, I am where I am suppose to be, I am so thankful for my mother type of week. Ya feel???? Hehe probs not because my mind is WACKYYYY. But basically I felt all the feelings and have come to terms that if I feel like my heart is going to burst at any point its God showing me I am where I am suppose to be. We had some amazing baptisms this week where I cried basically the whole time, and some amazing lessons with some pretty amazing people. I definitely on the daily struggle don't feel like I'm good enough and have put a note on my wall saying, "have you given it your all today?" so I can't hold myself account...

Some letters from Emma to Mom   March 29, 2021 Mom,  I just finished my first bottles of juice plus and am seriously so thankful and blessed to have parents that bless me with things like juice plus and so much more haha. I am sorry for how hard I was to raise, you both are such good parents that really just love and trust God and when you mess up just try again. You are and always have been such good examples of effort.  I saw this quote the other day that a gay son posted about his mom he shared some words she said and it really hit me and got me thinking... “When I finally leave this world and kneel at my Savior’s feet, I’m going to tell him that I loved and supported my kids with everything I had. And if that’s not enough, I can honestly say I have no regrets.” if you read this before we call we should talk about it haha! I have so many thoughts.... Also remind me to tell you about the cute old missionary couple at the Orem Utah Temple and their amazing story and...

Week 15: The One Where I Meet a Bee Keeper Okay so last week I was bragging to one of the Elders in my district about how I wasn't going to miss a email any week of my mission and then that pday I forgot to send out the email I had typed up, so you guys are getting two this week hehe!!! What a treat right?? Anyways Heber is no joke so sick, my companion is probably one of the coolest people person I have ever gotten to meet on the Mish so far.. and I am so thankful God put us together. We get up earlier in the day so we can have more time to workout and she also can't have dairy and also can't have bread lol so we eat pretty healthy and it's so nice. When it hits 9 o'clock we are also sprinting for bed because we are sooooo busy all day with teaching, finding, making calls, doing service projects and helping members that we are so dead by the end of the night but it is the BESTT kind of dead.  So yeah this week I have learned that you gotta just laugh at the small ...
